Commercial Building - Added 3 floors to a two-storey warehouse in inner suburban Melbourne - 35 Rose Street, Fitzroy is a boutique commercial development completed by Daniel and Uschi Schwartz in Melbourne’s highly sought-after inner-city fringe. The project involved the delivery of a contemporary five-level office and retail building designed to meet the growing demand for premium workspace in one of Australia’s most dynamic commercial precincts. Fully leased to a diverse mix of quality tenants, the property combines strong investment fundamentals with modern design, sustainability features, and long-term income security, demonstrating Daniel’s ability to identify emerging market opportunities and create enduring value through thoughtful development and asset management.

Heritage Renovation - Listed modernist church overlooking Sydney Harbour - Wentworth House is a most notable project involving the transformation of the historic Wentworth Memorial Church in Vaucluse into an exceptional private residence overlooking Sydney Harbour. The project combined heritage preservation with contemporary design, creating a unique landmark home that showcases Daniel and Uschi's expertise in unlocking value from complex properties and delivering high-quality, architecturally significant outcomes.


Under the banner of Schwartz Hart, Daniel Schwartz led the redevelopment of Sheds 6, 7, 8 and 9 at Melbourne’s South Wharf, transforming a series of derelict riverfront cargo sheds into one of the city’s most vibrant hospitality and entertainment precincts. Positioned along the Yarra River and adjacent to what would become the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre precinct, the project reactivated a neglected industrial waterfront through the creation of restaurants, bars and nightlife venues that celebrated the area’s maritime heritage while introducing a new contemporary energy. The development played a pioneering role in establishing South Wharf as a major tourism, dining and entertainment destination, helping catalyse the broader revitalisation of the precinct and laying the foundation for the thriving waterfront hospitality hub it has become today.

181 Collins Street was a landmark heritage redevelopment undertaken by Daniel Schwartz in the heart of Melbourne’s premier luxury retail and commercial precinct. Acquired from the Theosophical Society, the prominent 1930s heritage-listed building was carefully transformed into 57 boutique apartments above flagship ground-floor retail space. The project successfully combined the preservation of significant architectural features with the creation of contemporary residences, breathing new life into an important city landmark. Anchored by luxury retailer Balenciaga at street level, the development exemplified Daniel’s ability to unlock value from complex heritage assets while delivering high-quality residential and retail outcomes in one of Australia’s most prestigious urban locations.
